Breakfast of Champions

So, after sleeping like logs on astoundingly hard pillows (we think it's filled with barley or something) we woke up at 7am, very refreshed and weirded out by it. And hungry. God damn hungry. We decided to check out the "Western Style Breakfast" in the hotel restaurant.

Western-Style Breakfast included:
-Scambled eggs which were orange. No really. Orange. Like they cooked the eggs in a Long Island tanning bed by accident.
-Fried eggs which were akin to a cheap, gel-type children's toy.
-Tiny hot dogs pretending to be breakfast sausages.
-Scary and tiny strips of not-cooked-quite-right bacon. Perhaps they were from this tiny pig I am currently in love with and wouldn't want to eat anyway. :3
-Bread au gratin (Bread pudding, and it was the only 100% delicious and filling thing there)
-German potatoes
-Croissants and rolls and whatnot.
-Fruits, but no bananas or apples ;-; Also they considered peaches, pears and cherries to be in the "tropical fruits" category.
-Corn flakes and granola.
-And a shit ton of Japanese food. Natto, rice, fishy things, squidy things, combinations of all of the above...

No pancakes, no french toast, no waffles, no bananas for my cereal, no proper eggs, no proper sausages. D: For being the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan ain't big on breakfast.
